The Flying Eagles on Wednesday outclassed the Ghana’s Black Starlets to win WAFU U-20 title.
Kparobo Arierhi scored a brace as the defending champions successfully retained their WAFU U20 title in this year’s final played in Lome, Togo.
The Flying Eagles dominated large swatches of the encounter, but it turned out a game of two halves Nigeria were imperious in the first half and Ghana turned on the heat in the second.
Arierhi who plays his club football for Beyond Limits FC, sco red first in the 34th minute, and netted the second before the one hour mark.
The Black Satellites, responded in the 74th minute to reduce the tally after a goalmouth scramble.
The Flying Eagles who won the trophy two years ago in Niger Republic, alongside Ghana, will represent WAFU B at next year’s Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, to be hosted by South Africa.
