AFRICAN CULTURAL FASHION EXHIBITION AND AWARDS SETS TO HOLD DECEMBER 1ST

The National Council for Arts and Culture, in collaboration with Africulfash™, RealA Ltd and African Artist for Peace Initiative (AAPI) have announced the holding of the African Cultural Fashion Exhibition and Awards, which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Africa through fashion, arts, and creativity.

The event is expected to hold on Sunday, December 1st in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

A press release signed by Amb.Judith Shu’aibu event coordinator on behalf of the ACFA organizing Committee 2024, said this prestigious event aims to recognize and reward outstanding individuals and organizations making significant contributions to Africa’s cultural development, particularly in the areas of fashion, arts, and entrepreneurship. It further said that the awards will promote unity, excellence, transparency, and accountability in governance, while fostering economic growth and development.

The award categories include:

-Custodians and Icons of African Heritage
-Master of African Fashion Excellence

  • Best Dressed Governors in the six(6) geo political zones in Nigeria
  • Outstanding impact in African Cultural Fashion industry
  • Most stylish Male and Female Celebrities in Africa
  • Most Stylish male and Female Law and policy makers
  • Award of Excellence in cross-cultural collaboration
  • Costume and Accessories Design of the Year
  • Ethical and Sustainable Fashion Designer of the year and more….

Already, the screening committee has picked prominent Nigerians and big players in the industry from across the world for the prestigious awards. They include:

  • His Excellency Gov Ademola Adeleke
  • His Excellency Gov Mohammed Umar Bago
  • Her excellency Min. Nkeiruka C. Onyejocha
  • Italian Designer Noor Tribe
  • Tanzanian Designer Romy Jay
