Senator Monday Okpebholo has been sworn in as the new Governor of Edo State.
His swearing in followed that of Hon. Denis Idahosa who took oath as the Deputy Governor at a ceremony held on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
Okpebholo takes over from Godwin Obaseki who governed the state for eight years since 2016.
Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress was returned by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the winner of the September 21 governorship election.
