ABIA AIRPORT PROJECT: KEYAMO, OTTI, OTHERS PRESENT AT GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY IN NSULU

The Abia Airport Project kicked off on Tuesday with a ground-breaking ceremony held in Nsulu, Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.

The Ground-Breaking ceremony which was performed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, had several political big wigs in attendance. These include the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu; the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Hon. Nkiruka Onyejeocha; and Hon. Amobi Ogah, a Member of the House of Representatives, among others.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Festus Keyamo emphasized the project’s significance, noting that it aligns with the Federal Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and fostering economic integration across Nigeria. He highlighted that the new airport will not only boost Abia’s economy but also create employment opportunities and attract investors to the state.

Governor Alex Otti, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for its support and reiterated his administration’s dedication to ensuring the successful completion of the project. He described the airport as a transformative initiative that will unlock Abia’s economic potential and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

The Abia Airport project, an effort of the Federal Government and the Abia State Government is set to serve as a critical driver of economic growth in the state. It is expected to enhance connectivity, facilitate trade and investment, and position Abia as a strategic hub for regional and national development.
