Prof German and I stood and watched his convoy drive past us
I had sent a message to the Governor appealing for an appointment to discuss the upcoming Ogoja State movement rally
We needed the Government security clearance to meet so it won’t be misunderstood
The appointment was to be in Abuja and I got there but HE had been so busy , went to Bayelsa and returned late then HE said to me ,let’s do Calabar and I was on the next flight back to calabar in this economy
Behold he was driving out of government house and I and Prof German stood and watched the convoy in conversation now it was clear to me this appointment won’t hold again , then all of a sudden,my phone rang and as I picked it up in that confusion it was the golden voice of the sweet Prince “Dorn Cklaimz please bear with me , today won’t be possible again , I’m going to be round the city to confirm the level of work going out in my numerous projects “
So if you don’t mind join me I’m doing valentine with the people of the north
Me I had never spent valentine outside my family but I called my wife and explained and she said go with the Lord
I felt privileged and what I saw on the tour wowed me
But back to the issue of Ogoja State
In the morning of yesterday he called me and said let’s meet immediately and have our discussion but I was far away in jovourn hotel while he was in okwango
He called again but I was on my way on a byke from Abakpa , while begging the byke man to go faster
You know I wasn’t in the same hotel with him as against his instructions
When I got to him for the meeting
He said to me
You people must push as hard as you can
This might be the moment for the Ogoja State
Mr President has the capacity and audacity to do it
he emphasized
I’m an Ogoja Man
I schooled in Ogoja
I’m an Igoli boy
See the distance it took us from calabar to ogoja
the stress is too much and this is not good for any government
The ogoja nation deserves better
Nothing, i mean Nothing should make us regret, if other states are created and God Forbid Ogoja is not amongst them,because of not having pushed well or allowed any person or group of persons to slow us down
He said I’m with Ogoja people all the way
Look at Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi States
Do you know how many LGA’s are in Akwa Ibom State?
As I walked out of the meeting feeling so good and elated to meet His Excellency Deputy Governor Rt Hon Peter Odey abd the Chief of Staff Hon Emmanuel Ironbar
They taught it was a political meeting and HE Deputy Governor said to the Sweet Prince “Your Excellency what is this man doing with you
Your Excellency this man is PDP
Your Excellency this is anti party …”
Governor Otu replied “My Government is an inclusive government
You know Dc is always thinking Cross River ..”
I said to them ,when I see good I will say it is good
You guys are doing extremely well
What I saw with my eyes on the tour was mind blowing and I will speak up
From Abi to yakur
From Obubra to Ikom
From yala to ogoja
Bu the time we got to obudu and saw the work at the cargo airport
I said to the Governor
Weldone God bless you sweet prince
we got back to calabar late and we were welcomed by the most amazing and beautiful display of street lights from Odukpani junction to welcome to calabar gate
This just reminded me of the good works of the senator representing Cross River North Sen Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe who is doing us proud with also lighting the North and doing great works in the 54 wards of Cross River North
