Come Tuesday, May 27, which will be celebrated as Children’s Day across Nigeria, the magnificent COSON House in Ikeja Lagos, the Headquarters of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Nigeria’s biggest copyright collective management organization, will play host to a select group of Nigerian children, aged between 10 and 15 years old.
The event tagged “Children’s Day at COSON House” is one of the seven distinct events targeted at different strata of the society, slated for the much-advertised master-blaster “COSON Week 2025” planned to light up the city of Lagos from May 25 to May 31, with the enchanting mantra, NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN!
At COSON House, the children will do a big photo shoot on the red carpet. They will also be treated to live performances at the COSON House Arena. They will then be taken through a lecture tagged “Introduction to Copyright” by a team of copyright experts. They will have lunch and thereafter be made to write a test based on what they had been taught. The best students, as judged by a panel, will get significant cash prizes and gifts.
The upcoming “Children’s Day at COSON House”, was announced on the widely advertised Live Instagram Interview with Azuh Arinze, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Yes International Magazine, by COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji who said that he was looking forward expectantly to the event.
Chief Okoroji also spoke about the “COSON Green Ball”, the super-exclusive premium event of COSON Week 2025 which holds on Friday, May 30 and which is billed to play host to 150 of the most influential people in Nigeria and their spouses. The guests at the Green Ball have been promised the best entertainment anywhere in the world and the finest cuisine money can buy, as COSON rolls out the green carpet to celebrate Nigeria, at the ‘COSON Green Ball’.
It has been announced that the guest list at the Green Ball which will hold at MUSON Centre, Lagos, will include selected governors, selected ministers, selected senators and other significant office holders. There will also be frontline Nigerian entrepreneurs and remarkable businessmen as well as distinguished professionals, intellectuals and the nation’s top showbiz stars.
The lingering question is: Out of Nigeria’s over 200 million people, who will make the list of just 150 couples, to be honoured at the COSON Green Ball on May 30? Time will tell.
