Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, has announced that the first day of Ramadan will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025. In a statement made on Friday from his palace in Sokoto, the Sultan confirmed that the crescent moon marking the start of the holy month was sighted on the 29th day of Shaban.
