Abia State Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Comrade Sunny Nwaganga Onwuma, is dead. The commissioner reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, March 3, 2025, after a brief illness.
The commissioner’s death was announced on Thursday by Prince Okey Kanu, the Hon. Commissioner for Information. According to the statement, Comrade Onwuma was 61 years old and is survived by his beloved wife and four children.
From Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, Comrade Onwuma was an alumnus of Government College Umuahia and Abia State University, Uturu. He was a dedicated member of the Labour Party and a respected leader within his community.
The statement also informed that the Burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
