The Rivers State House of Assembly has begun moves aimed at impeaching Governor Sim Fubara and his deputy, Mrs. Ngozi Odu.
To this end, the Assembly on Monday, issued a notice of “gross misconduct” against the Governor and his deputy.
The special assistant on media to Martin Amaewhule, the speaker of the Rivers Assembly, Mr. Martin Wachukwu, conveyed this information to the press.
It will be recalled that on Friday, March 14, the State Assembly announced that it would be going on an indefinite recess, shortly after the Governor made a request for a date to re-present the budget.
