It was a day of tradition, joy, and spiritual solemnity as the Amanyanabo of the Source (Torusarama-Piri), Da Amakiri Tubo, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, Dabaye Amakiri I, gave out his beloved daughter, Miss Aisha Dokubo-Asari, in marriage to her sweetheart, Mr. Afeez Ikudayisi.
The union was sealed over the weekend at the Mosque in Obuama in a serene Islamic wedding ceremony. The bride, a graduate of Fountain University, Osogbo, and a trained journalist, exchanged vows with her groom, an accomplished cinematographer from Osun State and CEO of Dreambox Multimedia. The celebration continued at the regal King Amachree Guest House, where family, friends, and dignitaries gathered to share in the joyous occasion.

In his fatherly counsel, King Dokubo-Asari urged the couple to build their home on the enduring principles of the Holy Quran, which he described as the bedrock of peace, harmony, and a successful marital life. He advised his daughter to respect and honor her husband, while also upholding the values of a noble Kalabari woman.
The monarch expressed pride in the milestone, noting that Aisha’s wedding was the first ever conducted at the Obuama Mosque. He also reaffirmed his commitment to her academic aspirations, promising to sponsor her education to the doctoral level anywhere in the world—a gesture he extends to all his children, both biological and foster.
