As Delta celebrates Democracy Day, the Obi of Iyagba Community Anwai quarter Asaba, Obi Barr. Mohammed Elunor has commended the immediate past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on his achievements in promoting the state and dedication to public service.
According to him, Okowa’s contributions to Delta state will always be remembered and cherished.
Elunor not only wished Okowa good health but also took the opportunity to acknowledge the significant impact Okowa has had on his political journey.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by him, Obi Elunor noted that during his tenure as the immediate past Governor of the state, Dr Okowa brilliantly lifted Deltans to an economic path through the implementation of various wealth creation programs.
He said that the transformation witnessed in the state during his tenure is a testament of the development strides of Senator Dr Ifeanyi.
His tenure as the Governor of Delta State was marked by unparalleled dedication and an unwavering commitment to the development of the state”.
“As the road master, Okowa set a benchmark for excellence, transforming the state through his visionary leadership and tireless efforts.”
Obi Elunor highlighted the achievements under Okowa’s leadership, including advancements in infrastructure, education, and economic growth. “The infrastructure advancements, educational improvements, and economic growth achieved under your guidance are testaments to your profound impact,” he noted.
In his words, “On behalf of the people of Anwai, iyagba community in Asaba and Deltans in general, I congratulate and celebrate our beloved immediate past Governor. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, a humble and visionary leader and his amiable wife, Dame Edith Okowa a virtuous woman”
He said”Delta state, under the watch of Okowa prioritized the rehabilitation and expansion of roads to improve connectivity within the cities and rural areas. Projects such as the building of good roads in Asaba, Okpanam, Warri and Ughelli and other regions have helped reduced traffic congestion and boosted the movement of goods and services”
During his tenure, God used Okowa to bring about all-round transformation in all sectors of the economy of our State, through his intensive implementation of his unique and well-thought-out Smart Agenda and Stronger Delta mantra.
“I celebrate Okowa’s exceptional organizational skills, capacity for proactive leadership and unmatched political will with which he, in a space of seven years, brilliantly transformed our dear State into a hub of development and gave her a deserving leading place among the comity of states in our country.
In his time, the success of Smart Agenda and Stronger Delta mantra are manifest in the massive infrastructural development in all critical sectors, unprecedented job creation and economic sustenance, especially for our youths and women, qualitative healthcare, education and food production system; unity, peaceful co-existence and security of life and property in our state among other achievements.”
Elunor also commended Governor Okowa’s lieutenants who ensured that he delivered on his mandate.
Indeed I appreciate all Deltans for their unflinching support which are instrumental for the monumental achievements recorded by the Okowa administration.
“We pray God Almighty to continue to bless Senator Dr, Okowa with good health, wisdom and strength in administering our state to his glory and benefit of humanity.” He added.
Reflecting on Okowa’s tenure, Elunor praised the former Governor for his dedication to the development of Delta State.
