NIGERIA BEATS MOZAMBIQUE 60-55, QUALIFY FOR WOMEN’S AFROBASKET QUARTER-FINALS

Nigeria’s D’Tigress, beat Mozambique 60-55 in their final Group D game of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Abidjan to romp into the quarter finals.

Ezinne Kalu stepped up big with 16 points, despite a few missed free throws (8/13 from the line). Promise Amukamara dropped 13 points, hitting 3 of her 7 shots from beyond the arc. And Murjanatu Musa gave us solid minutes in the paint, finishing with 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

With the win at the Palais des Sports de Treichville on Monday, D’Tigress
have advanced their quest for a fourth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title.

D’Tigress beat Rwanda in their first Group D game last Saturday.
