All is set for the 2025 edition of the BuzzNews Best Awards, organised by BuzzNews Media Group under the leadership of seasoned journalist and media executive, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Olowosegun.
The event, themed “The Future of Nigeria’s Economic Frontier: Lagos at the Frontage of Tourism, Travels, and Creative Entertainment Possibilities,” will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja, starting at 12 noon.
The Guest Speaker is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Damilola Ayinde Marshal, Esq, while the Mother of the Day is Iyalaje Oodua, Princess (Dr.) Toyin Kolade.
The Special Guest of Honour is the Olowu of Owu Kuta, His Royal Majesty, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude, CON.
Speaking on the event, Mrs. Olowosegun, who is also the Publisher of BuzzNews Magazine and www.buzznews.com.ng said that the awards were conceived a few years ago as a way of giving back to society and celebrating excellence.
“It is our own way of honouring people who are impacting lives and making Nigeria proud both at home and abroad.
“This is a different kind of award that has earned credibility over the years through integrity and consistency,” she said.
She added that the 2025 edition would be unique, as more individuals and organisations will be recognised for their contributions to humanity and national development.
“We believe it’s time to celebrate the best among us and tell positive stories about our nation.
“We also call for support from all stakeholders as we plan to expand the awards and host future editions in other parts of the country,” she noted.
