*Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, president-elect AGN
Incumbent National Secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu, has been elected as president of the body.
The election which took place on Saturday December 6, 2025, at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City, Edo State, saw Abubakar winning with 116 votes against seasoned Nollywood actress Rita Daniels who polled113 votes.
Abubakar, will succeed Chief Dr. Emeka Rollas Ejezie (MON), whose second and final tenure, concludes this December.
