The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), says it is determined to continue investigation into the petition against Ahmed Farouk, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), by Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Group.

ICPC spokesperson, Okor Odey, made this clarification in a statement on Wednesday while informing that the petitioner, has sent a withdrawal notice through his lawyer.

Odey stated that Dangote withdrew the petition in its entirety and that another law enforcement agency had taken over but insisted that the ICPC would continue its investigation into the matter despite the withdrawal of the petition.
