As the government and people of Delta state prepare to welcome the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu to Warri, the oil rich city of the state, today, Thursday, February 26, 2026, among the prominent hosts would be the National coordinator of The Father Abraham Movement For Asiwaju, Olorogun(Dr) Ovoke Idogun and hundreds of members of the Movement.
Olorogun Idogun in a statement on Wednesday said The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju is fully prepared to join hands with the Governor of Delta State, H.E Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the All Progressives Congress, APC party leaders and members as well as the good people of the state to give the First Lady of Nigeria, a rousing welcome. “We are fully ready to receive the First Lady(Mother of the Nation), Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu as instructed by our leader, the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori. I can assure you that The Abraham Movement For Asiwaju has been able to mobilise over 300 of our members to be part of the ceremony. The First Lady is the Mother of the nation by virtue of the position she occupies and on our part, we will ensure she gets the welcome the mother of the nation deserves. At The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju, we are confident that our leader, the Governor has put everything in place to ensure that the mother of the nation feels at home. And I do not need to remind you that Delta state, especially, Warri, is the original home of the First Lady,” Idogun said.
It would be recalled that seemingly impressed with the efforts of president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at turning the country around, which are currently yielding results, The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju, since llast year, decided to throw it’s weight behind his re-election bid come 2027.
The Father Abraham Movement is a civic awareness and policy-support platform. It is however not a campaign structure. It’s focus is on promoting public understanding of governance, reforms, and leadership direction in Nigeria, with calm and reasoned support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, The Father Abraham Movement convener, Olorogun Ovoke Idogun said.
The core driving force of the movement according to Idogun is “Credible, informed support. We believe patience, stability, and understanding of governance processes are more effective than emotional or confrontational messaging and that is why our vision is to support a Nigeria where citizens are better informed and more confident in governance and long-term national development. Our mission statement is to promote awareness and understanding of governance and policy reforms through calm communication, public sensitization, and responsible engagement.”
Presently about a million strong network, The Father Abraham Movement has reached out to the Renewed Hope and City Boy initiatives for collaboration. “Yes, indeed, we have reached out to them(Renewed Hope and City Boy) and we are optimistic that we will all work together for the greater good as regards the 2027. We did collaborate in 2023 and we are confident we will work together again,” Olorogun Idogun said.
