Omoba Tshola Emiko, has been crowned as the 21st Olu of Warri Kingdom. The new king is to be known as Ogiame Atuwatse III.
The event was the climax of activities which started earnestly on Friday, when the new King emerged from seclusion and did a ten kilometer walk around the Warri kingdom.
The Olu of Warri was crowned by the Uwangue of Warri, Chief Gabriel Awala after he took the oath of office and adopted a title for his reign.
The event was attended by the who’s who in Nigeria including President Muhammadu Buhari whowas represented by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege.
Others who attended the ceremony include: Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu; Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Wase; and former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, among others.
