After her critically-acclaimed debut single, ‘Little Black Bird’, UK-based Afro-soul singer and songwriter, Uchechi Emelonye has released two additional songs. Titled ‘Sunrise to Sundown’ and ‘Underwater’, the songs are a re-affirmation of the lyrical and vocal skills of the Law undergraduate already being hailed as ‘Afro-soul Princess’.
Describing ‘Sunrise to Sundown’, Uchechi Emelonye, says, “I wanted to explore a theme lighter than I have previously done, while still singing about something everyone can relate to. I wrote ‘Sunrise to Sundown’ myself, like I write all my songs. It was produced by Zaq Sawyer Coffey in Birmingham.”

The second of three siblings, Uchechi Emelonye is a young, hot, new artiste from Imo state, Nigeria, creating Afro-inspired music that feeds the soul. She balances this passion with being a final year Law student at the University of Lancaster, a top UK higher institution and has been songwriting since the age of 13.
