Hours after ill health rumours have trailed him, Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, made a public appearance yesterday in Akure.
The Governor met with candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other leaders of the party ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Gov. Akeredolu, at the meeting, fixed dates for the flag-off of the party’s senatorial campaign rallies in the State.
Akeredolu fixed January 23 as date for the Ondo South senatorial campaign rally, January 30th for Ondo Central Senatorial district while that of Ondo North would hold on February 6.
In the past three days, the news mill have been agog with reports that the Governor was down with cancer.
The state Government had on Tuesday, acknowledged that the Governor was ill but was still at his duty post. The government’s reaction did not reveal if the Governor’s ailment was cancer.
