The match played in Addis Ababa, saw the Ethiopians take the lead as early as the sixth minute through Birkie Amare off a corner kick.
Rasheedat Ajibade, restored parity with a blinder six minutes into the second half to salvage a draw for the Super Falcons.
Nigeria, is billed to face Ethiopia again on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 for the second leg of the qualifier at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
The winner of the tie will face the winner of the Cameroun/Uganda second round tie.
