The Leadership Scorecard magazine has concluded plans to host heroes of the Nigerian democracy.
The upcoming event themed “Democracy in Africa: The Legacy of Abdulsalami Abubakar,” will take place on May 29, 2024, at 3 p.m. at the NAF Conference Centre.
The event will honor former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar as a hero of Nigerian democracy, as well as other distinguished personalities who have made significant contributions to the country’s democratic growth and development.
Apart from Gen. Abubakar, other awardees include: former Senate president, Senator Bukola Saraki, Governor Hyacinth Alia (Benue State), Governor Charles Soludo (Anambra State), Governor Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau State), Governor Dikko Umaru Radda (Katsina State), Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Sir Emeka Offor, Governor Babagana Zulum (Borno State), Chief Arthur Eze, Mr. Femi Otedola, Abusalam Rabiu, Senator Aluyi Wadada, Governor Seyi Makinde (Oyo State) and Senator George Akume.
Prof. Plo Lumumba, is expected as the Keynote Speaker, while the event will be chaired by Senator Ken Nnamani.
The event which will feature a keynote address, awards presentation, and the unveiling of a special edition of Leadership Scorecard magazine in honor of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, will have President Bola Tinubu as the Chief Guest of Honour.
