Anora, a film about an erotic dancer and the son of a Russian oligarch, picked five awards, including the coveted Best Picture at the 97th Academy Awards, held at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
The ceremony celebrated cinematic excellence while paying tribute to the heroes and victims of the recent Los Angeles wildfires.
The show opened with a special tribute to Los Angeles, concluding with “We Love LA,” followed by a stirring performance by “Wicked” stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
