“RIP @GLORIA OSARENOTOR:
In Loving Memory of My Dearest Friend, affectionately known as “Small Mama”
Today, I write with a heart shattered by a pain too deep for words, trying to navigate a world that now feels quieter, emptier, and undeniably less kind. The sudden and unexpected loss of you—my beloved Small Mama—has left a void that language struggles to express. How can I possibly capture the essence of someone who was a whole world to me?
You were far more than a friend. You were family—a sister not by blood but by soul. You were the embodiment of the proverb: “a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” You brought laughter to my darkest days and stood strong when I felt weak. Simply being around, you made life feel lighter. You listened not just with your ears, but with your heart. You had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved.

You were the heartbeat behind Ehizoya Golden Entertainment’s motto: “The Show Must Go On!” No matter the circumstances, you showed up with unwavering dedication. How could I ever forget the time you left your two-year-old daughter in a hospital bed and travelled nearly six hours from Berlin to Frankfurt just to fulfil your role at the Nollywood Film Festival Germany NFFG & Nollywood Europe Golden Awards NEGA? That is who you were—the Iron Lady, the unshakable pillar of our success. You were our strength. Our Small Mama.
I keep replaying our last phone conversation on Easter Sunday, wishing I had said more, told you just how much you meant to me, how thankful I was for your love, your time, your unwavering friendship. Please forgive me… I never imagined death would come so suddenly, without a whisper or a warning.
Life can be so cruel offering no time to prepare, no chance to hold on. One moment you were here, vibrant and full of light… and the next, you were gone.
But even in death, your light continues to shine. I see you in the sunrise, feel you in the stillness of the night, in every act of kindness that echoes your spirit. I carry you with me—in my thoughts, in my memories, in every beat of my heart. And I always will.
Thank you—for your love, your loyalty, your guidance, your beautiful soul. You made this world brighter just by being in it. Though you’re no longer physically here, your presence will never leave me.
You’ve left a space that no one can ever fill. You are simply irreplaceable.
Rest peacefully, my dear friend from another mother. Until we meet again.
With tears, I say goodbye my irreplaceable friend – even though you left unceremoniously.”
