Only few days ago, the DGN election was thrown into turmoil when the executive Committee led by outgoing president, Dr. Victor Okhai announced that members inducted in 2023 will not be eligible to vote following a deluge of petitions alleging fraudulent practices in their screening and induction.
Thebladengr.com gathered that the Board of Trustees of the association led by Chief Zeb Ejiro, OON, summoned a broad-based stakeholders meeting which resolved the issue.
In a communique issued on June 12 and signed by critical stakeholders, it was “resolved that all applicants from the class of 2023 who were subsequently inducted into the Guild shall retain their status as bonafide members of the Directors Guild of Nigeria.”
The stakeholders also asserted that “Only those individuals who have been granted *full membership* from the class of 2023 and have paid their dues as at the deadline for payments will be eligible to participate and vote in the elections scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2025. This measure ensures a clear and fair electoral process.”
