SUPER FALCONS CAMP BUBBLES AS OSHOALA, ALOZIE, OTHERS ARRIVE CASABLANCA

Seven players have arrived at the Super Falcons training base in Casablanca, ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Players who have arrived include American-based trio: Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie and Deborah Abiodun.

Others are Chinwendu Ihezuo, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi and new invitee Chioma Okafor.

They will be joined by 17 players who drew 0-0 in Monday’s international friendly against Portugal in Lisbon.

Nigeria will be up against the Black Queens of Ghana in another friendly on Sunday. The Black Queens arrived in Benslimane, Morocco, last Tuesday for a 14-day training camp ahead of the tournament.

The Super Falcons will be looking to win a record-extending tenth title when hostilities start in Morocco early next month. The Super Falcons will open their campaign at the WAFCON on July 6 when they play their North African counterparts, Tunisia in their first Group match.

Nigeria will be seeking a 10th continental title in Morocco having won nine of 12 championships that have been contested since the CAF launched the event as a tournament in 1998.
