TOP INDUSTRIALIST, CHIEF UCHE OFFOR LOSES DAD

*Late Ezinnadiebube Offor Asuzu

Imo State-born top industrialist and business mogul, Chief Uche Offor, is bereaved.

The business man lost his father, Ezinnaoma di ebube Offor Asuzu, on 23rd April, 2020.

Popular as Onye Chinyere ya rie, the late Offor Asuzu hailed from Umuopia community, Akokwa in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State.

A devout Catholic, late Offor Asuzu Joseph was a community leader who took the things of God seriously. Little wonder the former Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Bishop Gregory Ochiagha, conferred on him the title of Ezinnadiebube.

The late Offor’s rites of passage will commence on Friday, September 4th, 2020 with a Requiem mass at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuopia.

Internment, reception and condolences follow immediately at his country home, while Thanksgiving/outing mass in his honour will hold on Sunday, 6th September, 2020 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuopia.

Born on 2nd September 1938 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Offor Ikeanyionwu David (Ezeokeoha), as a young man, Joseph was industrious, enterprising and resourceful.

He was a shrewd businessman who started his early business life at Aba, present day Abia State.

He later relocated to Onitsha where he delved into electrical works and repairs of appliances(Radio, stereo and Television sets).

Growing up, the late Offor Asuzu was very industrious and enterprising. He left his parents very early in life and followed a relation to Aba after his Standard Six education, to seek greener pastures.

Apart from trading and repair of electronic gadgets, Ezinnadiebube was a consummate sportsman and Boxer. In his hay days as a Boxer, he was popularly hailed as Tango-Joe.

Urbane and cosmopolitan, the late Offor Asuzu lived in Onitsha with his darling wife till he was called back by his creator in April.

Since his demise, Friends, family members and associates have been paying glowing tributes to Ezinnaoma di ebube whose memory they say will remain boldly engraved on the hearts of many. They also hail him as a good Christian who believed and voiced it out too, that he would make heaven.

Ezinnaoma di ebube was married to his lovely wife, Ezinne Offor Sarah Omanukwuwe and together they were blessed with 8 children: Mrs Nwanedo Chinyere, Chief Uche Offor; an industrialist and business mogul, Mrs Obi Ndidiamaka, Mr Offor Onyebuchi, Mr Offor Ndubisi, Mr Offor Nnaemeka , Mrs Owuamana Ugochi and Mrs Ebelebe Chilee.

He was also blessed with 39 grand children.
