
Former President of the Ijaw National Congress and Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of Port Harcourt, Kimse Okoko, has died.
He died at the age of 80.
Prof. Okoko died six months after the sudden death of his billionaire businessman and politician son, Keniebi Okoko in March.
Okoko, who was also the president of the Conference of Ethnic Nationalities in Niger Delta, as well as the Pro-Chancellor, University of Uyo, died on Sunday at a hospital in Port Harcourt.
He hailed from Obunagha community in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
