President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council as chairman and vice chairman respectively, ahead of the January 2027 presidential election.

The list of members released on Saturday also named APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as vice chairman, while former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, will serve as Director-General of the campaign. Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was appointed Secretary of the council, with APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman serving as deputy and assistant secretaries.

The campaign council will be supported by a body of advisers comprising Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Florence Ita Giwa. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni were appointed deputy director-generals for the southern and northern zones, working alongside Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Senator Jibril Barau.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole will oversee mobilisation as deputy director-general, while the President’s Chief of Staff will serve as deputy director-general for administration. James Abiodun Faleke, who played a key role in the 2022/2023 campaign, returns as deputy director-general for election planning, coordination and monitoring, supported by zonal directors across the six geopolitical zones.

Muiz Adeyemi Banire will head the legal directorate, with Dr Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala as deputies. The media and strategic communication directorate will be coordinated by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu. Other key members include Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala and Felix Morka.

Dele Alake will lead a five-member team of campaign spokespersons, alongside Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda. Segun Dada will return as Director of New Media, a position he held during the 2022 campaign, while Solomon Arowolo will serve as Secretary of the New Media directorate.

President Tinubu charged members of the council to work tirelessly to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 elections, urging directorate leaders to engage other party members who may not have been listed.

He said the administration had delivered on its campaign promises and urged the campaign team to showcase its achievements, inspire hope among Nigerians and defeat forces seeking to reverse the country’s progress.
