The remains of the first Civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande was yesterday, buried at the Vault and Gardens cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The late accomplished administrator, Journalist and politician, died on Thursday at the age of 91.
The ceremony which commenced after his body arrived the cemetery at about 5pm and accompanied by the royal staff of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, had the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy Mr. Obafemi Hamzat and Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola in attendance.
The funeral ceremony, was conducted by the Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Suleiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla.
