Liz Truss has formally been appointed the Prime Minister of Britain by Queen Elizabeth 11. Truss emerged third female British Prime Minister, after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May on Monday, when she became the Conservative Party Leader gathering 81,326 votes against her rival, former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak who had 60,399 votes. Before becoming PM, Truss was the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.
