A Federal High Court in Lagos has held that the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN) is an authorized Collective Management Organisation (CMO) for musical works and sound recordings in Nigeria. Justice Ibrahim Buba gave the ruling Tuesday in a suit filed by the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) Ltd seeking to stop MCSN from operating as a CMO.
