Defending champions, Nigeria’s D’Tigress began defence of their title in the AfroBasket Women with a resounding 92-45 victory against Rwanda in their first match of the 2025 tournament. At least five Nigerian players finished with double digits with Elizabeth Balogun top-scoring in the match making 18pts, while Victoria Macaulay marked her return to the team with 13pts.
