Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was on Saturday physically attacked by a mob while attending a cultural event in Germany. The attack on Ekweremadu, is believed to have been orchestrated by members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB). Earlier on Saturday, a video of the attack was widely circulated on social media. In the video, a mob attacked Ekweremadu as he attempted to enter the venue of the event in Nuremberg, Germany.
