The Flamingos of Nigeria are one big step closer to the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup after defeating hosts South Africa 3-1 in Pretoria yesterday. Shakirat Moshood opened scoring for the Flamingos on the 20th minute. Harmony Chidi then doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 41st via a penalty for both teams to go into the dressing room for the interval with the Flamingos 2-0 up.
