Former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, 67, has died from gunshot wounds he sustained following an assassination attack while giving a campaign speech in southern Japan. Although Abe, was immediately rushed to the hospital after he collapsed and was seen bleeding he died a few hours later. Japanese authorities, said they have already arrested a suspected attacker, reported to be a male in his 40s. Abe led the Japanese government between 2006 and 2007. He returned to office from 2012 to 2020, making him the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister.
