The Supreme Court has dethroned Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, the Obong of Calabar. In a judgement delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, the Supreme Court ordered the kingmakers and Traditional Rulers’ Council to immediately convoke a fresh selection process to produce another Obong of Calabar.
