FIFA has banned coach of Nigerian Nationwide League One club Cofine FC, Remi Amadi, for two years for match-fixing, PUNCH Sport Extra reports. The match involved Cofine FC and Bussdor FC at the University of Calabar Stadium, in Calabar on March 15 during the 2020/2021 NLO season. The ban takes effect from October 5. The Nigeria Football Federation’s Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, made this known in a statement made available to PUNCH Sport Extra on Tuesday.
