Former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu will remain in prison custody till Oct 31. The Central Criminal Court in the UK where Sen. Ekweremadu is standing trial on alleged organ harvesting of a minor, adjourned the case involving him and his wife, Beatrice. The former Deputy Senate President and his wife, are facing charges bordering on conspiracy to arrange/facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting. Ekweremadu’s wife was granted bail late last month.
