Prelate emeritus of the Methodist Church in Nigeria and former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Sunday Mbang is dead. Mbang, the first black president of the World Methodist Council, died on May 16, 2023 at the age of 86. Babatunde Taiwo, the secretary of the church, announced the death on Wednesday, and condoled his family and the people of Akwa Ibom, his state of origin, for the loss.
