President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Hon. Keston Muhammed Okoro Al-Amin has resigned from his position. According to him, the move is to enable him contest the Delta State Central Senatorial seat.
ThebladeNG learnt that Hon Keston submitted his resignation letter to the National Working Committee at an extra ordinary meeting held in Lagos on Wednesday January, 31st, 2018 in line with the constitution of PMAN so as to enable him concentrate on his national political assignment.
The letter, came exactly one year after Keston was elected to the position in Abuja.
The meeting we hear, had all members of the National Working Committee, some national executive members, elders and stakeholders of the Nigerian music industry. The resignation letter was accepted by the house who praised the President for the bold step.
Following the new development, the following vacant positions were immediately filled in line with PMAN constitution: Dr Gbenga Falope (Jnr) was moved from the position of 1st Vice President to the position of the PMAN President. Baba Ojonugwa (JFO) was moved from the position of the 2nd Vice President to the position of the 1st Vice President of PMAN while Boniface Itodo (Aita Bonny) was appointed the Acting General Secretary of PMAN, subject to confirmation as GS by (NEC).
