The death has been announced of the Baba Eto of Lagos, Chief (Elderman) Nathaniel Folarin Coker, OON.
A statement signed by his son Mr Folorunsho Folarin Coker, the Director General of Nigeria Tourism Development Commission (NTDC), said Chief Coker who is also the Bobagunwa of Igede-Ekiti and a retired Pioneer Permanent Secretary in Lagos State, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020 at the age of 97.
Mr. Coker said Chief (Elderman) Nathaniel Folarin Coker’s life was so beautifully lived and deserves to be beautifully remembered.
“He dutifully and meritoriously served his state and country in his lifetime, and we, his family are very proud of his life and service.
“We are comforted by the fact that his good name is worth more than gold and that his memory will always be a blessing to each and every one of us all.
“Burial arrangements will be announced in due course”, the statement concluded.
