Incumbent Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, is leading his opponents with over 80,000 votes after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced results in 12 Local Government areas of the state in the October 10, election.
According to the results, Akeredolu has polled 189,489 votes while Eyitayo Jegede, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is second with 108,195 while Mr. Agbola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) is in third position with 37,806 votes.
