TRAGEDY: NIGERIA’S CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF KILLED IN PLANE CRASH IN KADUNA

There is palpable fear that the Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, has died. Reports say he died following an air crash in Kaduna today. The reports say at least six other unidentified senior officers were in the training plane, which crashed about 6pm today at Kaduna Airport. No survivors have been reported so far. The plane reportedly crashed at the runway, while trying to land, amid heavy rainfall.

NO PLAN TO INCREASE PETROL PRICE IN JUNE—FG

The Federal Government has stated that there will be no increment in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in June. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, who gave this assurance, stated that the current price would be retained until conclusion of consultation with organised Labour. The European Commission has appointed a former professional basketball player, Michaela Moua, as its first-ever Anti-Racism Co-ordinator, adding that the newly created post was in line with its anti-racism action plan. LAGOS RECORDS N127 BILLION IGR IN Q1 2021

The Lagos State government  yesterday, revealed that it has generated N127 billion as Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, in the first quarter of 2021, an increase from the N658 billion realised as of December 2020.
