Nigeria’s D’Tigress on Friday, beat Senegal in the semifinals (73-63) to reach the final of the 2021 Afrobasket Women tournament in Yaounde, Cameroon.
With the win, the Nigerian women will meet Mali in the final on Sunday 26 September.
Nigeria successively won the 1st (22-11), the 2nd (23-20), the 3rd quarter (15-13). The Senegalese revolt in the last act (19-13) eventually counted for nothing as Nigeria won (73-63).
The Eagles of Mali, had earlier beaten Cameroon in the other semi-final (52-51).
