Nigeria’s Flying Eagles on Monday, advanced to the semi-final of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), after beating defending champions Senegal 3-1 on penalties.
Monday’s match ended barren in normal and extra-time, pushing the game to the spot-kicks, where Nigeria emerged 3-1 winners.
With the victory, Nigeria has earned a spot in the U-20 World Cup, billed for Chile later in the year.
Nigeria will meet South Africa or DR Congo in the semi-final.
