MUSA AMEDU, JOSEPH OHENS, EHI BRAIMAH MAKE 13-MAN EDO DIASPORA MEDIA-CONNECT FORUM

The Edo State Government has constituted a 13-member Diaspora Media-Connect Forum in a bid to strengthen ties with its indigenes outside the shores of Nigeria.

The body which is chaired by London based legal practitioner, Musa Amedu Esq., has Dr Ohens Joseph, another legal and health practitioner based in California, United States, as  Alternative Chairman while Jonathan ldele-Ero is Secretary.

Popular Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Naija Times,  Ehi Braimah, is a member of the Forum which also has, Dr. Ikpenmwosa Umuavbi, Sir. Solomon Imhiosen, Petrina Olumese, Godwin Osa-Osagie, and Amb. Ken Oloye.

Others are: Abiemwense Cynthia Omoruyi, Pastor Barry Ighodaro, Daniel Okoruwa, and Benson Eribo.

Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Adaze Andrew Emwanta, said the Forum is the first leg of constructive engagement with stakeholders.

The Forum is tasked with “identifying areas of possible collaboration between the Edo State Ministry of Communication and Orientation and external bodies interested in the promotion of public communications and social orientation related activities.”

The Forum is also to “serve as a medium of information exchange between the Ministry and Edo people in the Diaspora.”

In addition, the Forum is expected to “help disseminate the developmental activities of the present Edo State Government beyond the shores of Nigeria and mobilise support for the ‘Making Edo Great Again’ (MEGA) media campaign in the Diaspora.”
