The Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South senatorial rlection Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday, reassured Anambra South women that his office will continue to put in measures that will promote their wellbeing. Senator Ubah made the remarks at the Nnewi Anglican Diocesan Church Center (DCC) during the final day of the Diocesan 27th Women Conference. According to him, women are an integral part of nation building and every effort must be sustained to promote their wellbeing.



Senator Ubah also thanked the church for their prayers and reassured the women that he will always give personal support for their Diocesan projects, and donated a total of Twelve Million Naira to support their activities.

The Senator made a donation of 5 Million Naira to support the women project, 1 Million Naira to the church choir, additional 1 Million Naira to be used in catering for the disabled under the care of the church and 5 Million Naira to support the immediate commencement of a befitting building for the Nnewi Diocesan Special Education Centre which was established to rehabilitate, educate and care for the people living with various forms of disabilities.
Speaking briefly on the attack on his convoy on September 11, 2022 which sent two of his aides and some Policemen to early graves, Senator Ubah lamented that young lives were wasted and reassured the people that even though the incident remains a painful experience, he will never relent in putting in more efforts to promote the wellbeing of his constituents.
The Anambra South Senator further used the opportunity to reassure every ‘onye’ Anambra South including people living with various forms of disability that he will always use the instrumentality of his office to better their wellbeing. Senator Ubah also donated special equipment like wheel chairs and food items to the Center and urged the Church to always remember Anambra South Senatorial District in their prayers.
Responding, the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese Rt. Rev Ndubuisi Obi thanked God for his love and mercies upon the Senator. The Bishop said though the recent attack on the Senator remains painful, all glory shall be to Almighty God who knows the best for his people. The Bishop further prayed for wisdom, divine grace and protection upon Senator Ubah as he carries out his legislative duties and reassured him that the church will continue to pray for Anambra South, Anambra State and Nigeria in general.
Senator Ubah. who worshipped in the Church and was visibly moved by the special hymns of praises from the choir, to God for sparing his life during the September 11 attack, was accompanied by a delegation made up of Chief Vin Onyeka, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidates for 2023 Nnewi North State Constituency electionand Ekwusigo. Sir. Augustine Ikedoji (Synod) and Miss Juliet Anaeme(Ada Ozubulu) as well as members of Afaigboefuna Solidarity Movement.
