IPOB LEADER NNAMDI KANU REFUSES TO APPEAR IN COURT; ASKS FG TO OBEY APPEAL COURT RULING

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Monday, refused to appear before an Abuja Federal High Court insisting that the Federal Government must obey the Court of Appeal judgement of October 13, 2022 which discharged him from terrorism charges. Counsel to the Federal Government, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar, conveyed Kanu’s stance to Justice Binta Nyako. According to Abubakar, all entreaties made to persuade Kanu to have a change of heart were rebuffed. The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Chief Tayo Ayinde, is bereaved. Ayinde lost his wife, Princess Railay Adedoyin Ojora in the early hours of Sunday, 13 November, 2022 in Lagos. Her death comes few months after she gave birth to their second child in London. She was reported to have returned to Nigeria barely 24 hours before her sudden death.
