Veteran journalist, Mr. Sheddy Ozoene, has been honoured by his Nsude community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, with the prestigious traditional Chieftaincy title of “Odenigbo”.
The title was conferred on him by His Royal Highness Igwe George E. Onoh (DCP Rtd), the Agunecheibe III of Nsude on Wednesday 28th December, 2022.
Ozoene and his wife Ugonwanyi, were honoured for their contributions to the upliftment of their community.
The event which held at the Mission Field, Nsude, had the esteemed presence of several dignitaries. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was represented at the event by the Hon Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Charles Egumgbe.
A journalist by profession, Ozoene served as Chief Press Secretary to Governor James Ibori of Delta State and later as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
