The Enugu State House of Assembly yesterday confirmed the appointment of Mr. Peter Okonkwo, a former governorship candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the state as commissioner-designate. ENSIEC CLEARS ALL CANDIDATES FOR SATURDAY’S ENUGU COUNCIL POLLS

The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) on Tuesday announced that it has cleared all candidates submitted to it by the political parties ahead of the November 4, 2017 local government election in the state. The polls will hold across the 17 council areas and 260 wards for the Chairmanship and Councillorship positions, respectively.
